The Old Town
The Old Town, on a rocky promontory and still surrounded by its walls, is a place to wander through history and time. Its streets are cobbled and its houses typically have wooden bay windows and courtyards planted with flowers.
The Ancient Aqueduct
The “Vaults” as the ancient aqueduct is sometimes called, links the rocky promontory of the Old Town with the opposite hills.
The Byzantine Castle
The Byzantine Castle, on the highest point of the old town, is today used for various cultural events and is, along with the aqueduct, the trade mark of Kavala.
